Developmental Round-Up
It was only the Surrey Youth League developmental section that started this weekend, the Surrey Girls beings on the 15th.
In development football, which is up to Under 11, there are no league tables or scores published but there was still plenty of excitement and goals for our various boys sides who kicked their season off.
Our youngest age group, the Under 7’s, had a double header against a very strong Walton & Hersham side and Spelthorne Sports. Although they lost the first game the team worked very hard and listened to the coaches, the second game saw a first win for the side with a hat-trick for Sam B, also amongst the goals were Jack T and Freddie C.
At the other end of the development section the Under 11 Colts, playing their first 9 aside game, lost a very close game to Raynes Park Vale with Ayden P, Omar J amongst the scorers. The Under 10 Bucks enjoyed a win over Whitton Wanderers in the sun with Sandy B and Arther C scoring.
At the Under 9 age group the Colts won away to Sheen Lions with Henry M, Albert F, Ollie J and Amber W getting amongst the goals. The Bucks lost away to Spelthorne Sports in another close game with goals from Malachi M and Kitt M scoring for the side. Our newest Under 9 team, the Stags, had their first outing in the sun at Bushy Park and lost to NPL, but there was plenty of endeavour and good work on show.
Finally, at Under 8s, the Bucks lost to Esher Reds but with several new players put in a very committed performance and the Colts also lost but there was an opening day hat-trick for Robin G.
