These documents have been produced in line with Government guidance issued on Monday 1 June, which saw the easing of lockdown restrictions on gatherings, public spaces and outdoor activities and the phased return of outdoor sport and recreation.
The return of grassroots football is something that we know many are keen to see, but at this stage of the nation’s response to Covid-19, it must be done with careful consideration for everyone’s safety, especially vulnerable groups.
The FA continues to work closely with DCMS and Sport England in order to set out good practice guidance for those responsible for delivering different aspects of grassroots football. As the weeks progress, Government restrictions may or may not be eased further. If they are, The FA will update guidance accordingly. Surrey FA will share guidance amongst our stakeholder groups as soon as it is released and post on our website and social channels.
It’s essential everyone is clear about the restrictions and works together to manage social distancing and strong hand hygiene.
As a club we start with our first trial session tomorrow and will gradually expand this over the coming weeks. Our coaches and managers have been briefed on the latest guidelines and we have provided our own guidance on progressing back to training.
We are continuing to accept registrations and membership fees for the coming season and are very grateful to those who have already made a payment for the coming season. All registration fees (and Onside summer fees) can be paid HERE or you can email Charlotte to get bank details to pay direct in to our account.
Following our first session tomorrow we will review how it went and prepare for larger numbers over the coming weeks. However we must ask all parents not to bring their children to training if they have not had it confirmed by their manager that they are training.
