After a bit of a chuckle brothers moment with the goals, it was time to start our CC match against Ashford Town.
A complete opposite to last week, we had substitutes (after a bit of running around from me) and a referee bonus !

On paper it's a game we should be winning however you still have to go out and win it. Ashford weren't coming to make up the numbers & were hopeful an upset was on the cards. We started well, still not as quick or precise with the passing as I would have liked early on but we were in control of the game & created all of the early chances. Finally turning this pressure into goals from Jake 3 & Ronnie 1 to make the first half score 4-0.

2nd half gave us the opportunity to see Ronnie & Nairn in a few different positions, also to rest some of the injuries, niggles we
had sustained over last few weeks. On top of this we were able to add another 3 goals Jake/Ronnie & Liam.

Final score 7-0 & through to the next round against either Ruislip (Wycombe) or West Drayton.

Some real bonuses today, Jake another 4 to his ever increasing tally, 2 goals from Ronnie on his début, Ben & Archie both showing no signs of trouble after the game. We were able to rest up Connor & with no game next week hopefully he will be back fully fit for the Carshalton game on the 1st November.

Nairn had a solid start on his début & I think I counted 5 assists from Cam in the slightly further forward role, with some great deliveries from corners today. Clean sheet for the defence (Matt/Charlie/Joao/Connor) which is always welcome.
