On a cold and wet Sunday morning the boys faced Staines Town away.
Will starts the match in goal supported by Zac James Arran Finn in defence
In the 20th minute Hampton conceded a goal in very wet conditions bringing the score to 1-0, this seemed to fire up the boys who had started slowly.
However in the 32 minute another goal was conceded from a Staines corner 2-0 to Staines
In last minute of the 1st half Will is stretchered off and taken to hospital from a tackle from Staines Town.
With Will on the way to hospital, he kindly lends his goalie gloves to George for the 2nd half.
Soon after taking the goal keeper position there is an excellent save by George to deny a 3rd goal.
Later in the match George (the goalie) took a free kick in Staines Towns half which Charlie controls and scores 2-1.
The joy of the goal was short lived as 2 minutes later Hampton conceded another goal to bring score to 3-1.
The "lively" game continues and sees Josh find a space in the Staines defence and runs down pitch to bring the score to 3-2.
Not long after this the referee awards a penalty to other side which they score, the score is now 4-2.
Again we are awarded a free kick which George takes in Staines half of the pitch which this time is scored by Josh the score is now 4-3 with not long to go.
However 2 minutes later Staines score another goal as our defence all slip in the wet 5-3. Three of our defenders left sitting in the mud!
With our heads down Staines takes advantage and score another goal 6-3.
With only 5 minutes to go, we conceded another goal to bring the final score to 7-3.
A lot to take away from this, but heads held high for the return match next week, with fair play to rule the day.
Good news, no bone broken for Will so hopefully he will be match fit very soon.
