Hampton Youth u15 Bucks v Horsley Youth Athletc u15

With only 10 men against Horsley playing all 11 players the boys were brilliant.
Finn Matt Arran were in defense with Will in goal.
In the first 5 minutes the opposition scores 0-1.
However this fired up the boys and they were all running all over the pitch and it was this play and excellent passing which allowed Charlie to score 1-1 in 7th minute.
It was hard to see they were playing 10 v 11 due to there fantastic play with more great passes and excellent running and brave tackling.
Sadly I'm 18th minute opposition got one back with a excellent goal 1-2.
There was a fantastic kick from Josh just under 1/2 way line which was saved by their keeper
There were another 2 great attempts at goal by Matt and Josh unfortunately both slightly too wide
This did not deter the boys and a brilliant run down the wing from Charlie and shot at goal was saved by the Horsley keeper
Shortly after the opposition conceded a penalty which was taken by Joe who scored; 2-2 with two minutes before 1/2 time.
Five minutes into 2nd half and the opposition hit the bar so the score remains at 2-2.
Matt hits ball from wing just over half way line in a fantastic shot on target which was saved by their keeper.
Determined not to give up the boys continue to give it their all.George saw a opportunity and raced through the Horsley defenders, but the ball just went over top of goal.
Opposition score another goal in 60th minute 2-3 and the boys are starting to look understandably tired but they never gave up. Great passing, defending and team spirit kept them going.
A free kick was intercepted by Majd to prevent the opposition scoring but another free kick was immediately conceded, fortunately the defence do well to clear ball.
In the last ten minutes there was a controversial goal from opposition as the linesman had flagged for offside but overruled by ref who gave goal 2-4. Having checked the rules it was the linesman who was right but it cannot always go our way.
In the last five minutes we were awarded a penalty but Joe's kick was saved by their keeper.
Despite some sterling play by all the boys, they did not deserve a defeat so lets look forward to the return leg away at Horsley.
We hope that James and Kerem who were both ill and Rory and Zac who were both injured, are soon recovered and thanks to Zac for coming along to support the boys.
