The Colts continued their impressive form with a 5-1 win against Wokingham. That is now 6 wins and 2 draws from the season.
So many notable performances and all three new signings Ryan, Christian and Will showed some very encouraging signs. Ryan did some excellent stuff with the ball and played very well on the wing. He has some skills in his locker and I half expected him to take his boot off and beat his man a la George Best at one point.
Will offered another assured performance at centre back, showing again that height is not a pre-requisite for the position. It really is lovely watching a young player (playing a year up) read the game so well. Big shout out to Christian who capped a very decent performance with a first goal for the Colts.
John Boy Blanco has the best name in the squad and he matched his funky moniker with a performance that oozed quality. In previous weeks we had challenged him to match his immense skill with work rate and it certainly all came together with a Man of the Match performance.
So, two goals from the irrepressible Jacob, one from John Boy, one from Christian and an own goal created a score line that perhaps could have been more.
W 5-1
Man of the Match: John Boy
Crowd: Decent
Goals: Jacob 2, John Boy, Christian, OG
