A much better performance by the Colts this weekend. Paul Thomas from On Side was available to help organise the team and, in an effort to reduce the number of goals conceded, set the team some realistic and achievable targets. The boys worked hard to meet the objectives but, as half time approached, it was disappointing to concede three in quick succession! It made for another tough half time talk.
The lads were playing downhill in the second half and came out fighting. After a fantasic passing move initiated by James Wood and finished by Liam Fisher with a cheeky back heel, we were back in the game at 1-3.
Then, with the bit between his teeth, Harvey Gladwin waltzed through Twickenham's defence and finished brilliantly to make it 2-3.
The final 10 minutes were were all about Hampton. We were camped in the Twickenham half putting them under increasing pressure. Only the final whistle saved Twickenham from sharing the points.
All the lads played well but special mention has to go to Rio Mason who took over from Harvey and volunteered to go in goal in the second half. Thanks Rio and well done the team.
