Apparently this tune reached number 5 in the UK charts in 1980. Well we bagged 5 today against a competitive More Mead side who took 3 in a second half which saw a midfield quartet abandoning notions of responsibility to discuss the merits of Marble Hill House’s splendiferous façade?

Nevertheless a pleasing overall performance best encapsulated by a few particular moments of quality. Leo running onto a nicely paced pass to open up his 2017/2018 account with a beautifully taken goal. Solid display by both Kaya & Freddy who quickly stamped their authority early on.

Joseph Fletcher coming off the bench and playing the kind of football that suggested he has spent the last 6 weeks counting Rosary beads before he once again hears the referees whistle.

Sam Musgrave with a moment of delightful skill before bulldozing his way through the defence to take his first goal of the season. But why Babooshka? Well how do you describe a moment of individual brilliance?

Max Adams purred throughout however it all came together in the 2nd half after “mutually agreeing” to switch him centrally that rewarded all present with a screamer from 20/30/40 yards. The distance will grow with the years ha ha
